Description

Would you like to make blankets for babies, toys for toddlers, maybe a throw for the cooler evenings, or gifts for friends?

Even if you’ve never knitted, sewn or done other crafts, crochet is simple – you can only ever drop one stitch at a time! This session is aimed at beginners, but new converts to crochet are also welcome.

Come and learn this relaxing yet fascinating craft. Crochet is easy to pick up and can be taken anywhere – have hook, can crochet!

In these sessions you will:

  • Learn the basic stitches of crochet – chain, double crochet and treble crochet
  • Understand the different types of yarn and what they might be used for
  • Learn to read a pattern or follow a diagram
  • Make some basic “granny squares” which can be the foundation of many different projects

Learn how to create something beautiful for a friend or relative, or just for yourself.

The cost is for the block of 4 classes and includes a beginner size crochet hook and wool to experiment with to get you started, as well as tea, coffee and biscuits.

Important note: Booking essential! Minimum 4 participants. Cancellations less than 3 days in advance are non-refundable.
